CISCO systems unveils $10 Million for Digital Villages

Cisco systems is to spend $ 10 Million in bridging the digital divide in the marginalized communities in Africa over a three- year period. This is done through partnerships with local Non- Governmental organisations in Kenya, Ethiopia, Angola, Nigeria and Rwanda.

According to an article appearing in The Standard newspaper pg 31  on 4th oct, 2010, under the Tech.Insight pullout, The Cisco Academy and Corporate  social responsibility Manager Hital Muraj says they are going to increase their partnerships with local organisations to boost the penetration of  Information Communication Technologies across the country.

She was speaking last Saturday during the official launch of the Sekenani CKC in Masai Mara.
