BACK GROUND

Sekenani CKC was established in April 2010 being an initiative of late Dr. Christopher Wood who was a founder of many NGO’s in Kenya including AMREF, RED CROSS etc. He was also the co-owner of the Sekenani Camp.

PARTNERS

This initiative brings together AfriAfya ,SEMADEP, AAH, Cisco system Inc, Digital opportunity Trust Organization and Mara community in a partnership to establish Sekenani community knowledge centre with noble aim of providing modern information and communication technologies (ICTs) for communities living in Mara.

LOCATION

Sekenani CKC is located at South West of Nairobi, Kenya approximately a distance of 230km away by road drive Nairobi-Narok road and 45minutes by Air flight normally done by private planes. It’s 200metres adjacent to the Sekenani Gate entry to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve which is the main entrance to the park which is widely known because of it’s uniqueness and beautiful scenaries it has and within our perimeter we are neighbouring Sekenani Primary School on our left and Sekenani Health Centre being our immediate neighbors.

SURROUNDINGS

Sekenani CKC is in accessible place to both  the locals and foreigners since being at the entrance of the Game reserve has given an upper hand publicity to many whom majority are impressed by it’s running programmes.
